Irrigation system used in NGS must fulfill the following requirements:

  • It must work in a close circuit.
  • The feeding of the crops is carried out through intermittent irrigation.
  • Drainages reuse.

CUCUMBER, TOMATO, EGGPLANT

CUCUMBER IN COCO PEAT BAGS

Pipes added in between the crop lines guide treatment and harvesting trolleys for easy mobility. In cold weather, hot water runs through the pipes as a source of heat.

The coco peat bags protect the roots by insulating them and providing a medium for irrigation.

TOMATO IN COCO PEAT BAGS

Tomatoes can also be planted in linear coco peat slabs at a density of 2.5 plants per square meter.

OPEN FIELD

Harvesting is done manually for a period of 3 to 6 months per season (or annually) depending of the location of the farm and the varieties planted.

TUNNEL GREEN HOUSE

Blueberry Plants in soil are planted in raised rowes that are 1 meter wide and 2 merters apart as shown above. The raised rowes are covered with an Agro-textile to protect roots maintain humidity levels in the soil and aid in weed control.
